1. Information We Collect

Account data: name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash) when you register, plus profile details you choose to add, such as your resume information and avatar. Application data: job title, company name, location, job posting URL, status, notes, and any other details you save to your application tracker, either entered manually or extracted from a job listing page you are viewing. Technical data: browser type, device information, and log data (such as IP address and timestamps) generated automatically when you use the Service.

2. How the Browser Extension Collects Data

The extension only reads page content (such as a job title, company name, and location) from the supported job listing site you are actively viewing, and only to help you save that listing to your tracker. It uses the storage permission to keep your login session and preferences on your device, and the tabs permission to detect when you are on a supported job site so it can show the correct icon and side panel. The extension does not read, collect, or transmit data from pages unrelated to job listings, and does not track your general browsing activity.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to operate and improve the Service, authenticate your account, sync your data between the extension and the web dashboard, send you service-related emails (such as email verification), and provide customer support. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your account and application data are stored on our servers using industry-standard security measures, including encrypted password storage and secure transmission (HTTPS). Your authentication token and local preferences are stored on your device using the browser's built-in storage APIs and are not shared with third parties.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data with service providers who help us operate the Service (such as hosting and email delivery providers), and only to the extent necessary for them to perform those services. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ChillOffer, our users, or others.

We retain your account and application data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal or legitimate business purposes.
